Carley Beth. Scady cat of the world is sick of being scared so for this Halloween, Carly Beth is determined to scare those that scare her. To do this she went to a new party shop. In the back room, there is a row of masks. Masks that the shopkeeper does not want to sell, but he does this green and yellow skinned animal teeth protruding mask. And then at the end of the night, the mask just won't come off. It seems to have become like skin, the mask where the edges of the mask seem to have merged with her skin. Will she ever get it off?
Listening to this through the audiobook adds a little extra creepiness that just makes it perfect. I liked the character, although Carly Beth's friends were just plain asshats. I mean come on, harassing her at every page (or so it seemed) is just damn sad. Hate to be that scared. Carly Beth seems to be scared of her shadow if it came up from behind.
Pros are the build-up and suspense. The drawback is that I wished there was something more added to it. Longer perhaps

Man, this is the 2nd Goosebumps book that I actually found scary! Very well written, but the ending was a little cheesy and predictable!

I loved how scary this was. And I loved seeing how Carly Beth slowly transformed as the mask started taking over. However, she was the most annoying MC. I know she's a child so maybe I'm being harsh but my goodness.

This is the first book I remember that scared me quite badly. I hid it under my bed and couldn’t sleep an entire night. A part of it still gives me the creeps!
