This book had such fun and quirky characters. And I absolutely ADORE quirkiness!
It made me smile, laugh and swoon. It also had emotional undertones and each character had their baggage and obstacles to overcome.
The characters were so likable!
Great story, great chemistry! Really hot and steamy! So enjoyable!
Love the secondary characters as well.
Perfect feel good read!
Loved it!!

Wow. I've only read a few books by Ilsa Madden-Mills but I haven't been disappointed yet! This book was NOT what I was expecting. It was SO much better! Jack and Elena were like the perfect couple. They were basically destined not to work because of Jack's past and because of his career but Elena was a force to be reckoned with. Just the librarian kind of force. Lol. She was so great. I actually really liked her character. She had standards for herself. She didn't really wanna settle in any aspect of her life and that's a heroine I can get behind. I love that about her. She knows what she wants and what she doesn't want. Jack was that tortured soul we all love to love. He had just enough baggage this his past was believable. And it was sad and I can understand why he had the reservations he had. He was pretty hot though. The steamy scenes were perfect. I honestly can't wait to read the next books in the series cause there were a few characters I'm dying to know what happens to! Would definitely recommend this book!

Damn. This was written light-hearted but had some dark stuff in it that was kinda passed over. Most of it was in the past and off page, except the mfc’s sister getting engaged to the guy she stole from the mfc. And the mfc thinks she has to keep it a secret and be okay with it.

The mmc has a looot of baggage, and of course never seeks therapy or help for it.

It was kind of a light read (if it doesn’t have your triggers) and it was light without being fluffy or cheesy.

If you love adorable, quirky characters with a destiny, love filled story then Not My Romeo will be perfect for you. I loved absolutely everything about this book from the sexy, shy quarterback to the small town librarian and everything in between.

Elena and Jack are soul mates, there are no if's, ands, or buts about it....well, maybe some tight NFL butts, however, these two are insanely combustible when they are in a room together. They may seem like opposites, like two sides of a coin, but those two sides make up one beautiful coin.

Let me sum it up: Elena is a small town librarian who owns a pot belly pig, lives with her best gay friend and the wildest thing she does is make lingerie. She's not exactly living the wildlife, so as much as she hates the idea, she agrees to a blind date (a truly blind date where she hasn't seen a photo) and ends up mistaking a famous NFL player for her plain weatherman date.

Jack Hawke hasn't had the best last year of his life and he's only enjoying a quiet, yet lonely dinner by himself, when a quirky librarian sits down across from him informing him that she is his date. As the evening progresses he keeps up the facade of the mixed up identity, enjoying himself for the first time in a year and then continues to do things he never does...expose the real Jack.

Elena and Jack begin as a mix up, but as they continue a cat and mouse game that first begins with a pair of panties, they end up being more real with each other than they have ever been with anyone else before. That is what I love reading about Ilsa's stories. She brings such vulnerability to her writing, especially her big, strong sports players that I know I'm going to weep over their insecurities.

I'm also going to admit that I'm so much like Elena in that I don't watch enough sports that I would have recognized Jack or any of the other players Elena ran across. I totally would have made the same mistakes that she did unless I was sitting across from one of the famous Chris' then maybe I would have stood a chance of not making a blind date error, but I understand Elena and I also crave her job.
