Another short story collection, this time by Alfred Bester, who is known for presenting a wild vision of the future. None of the stories in this collection are terrible, though a few are certainly stronger than the majority. "They Don't Make Life Like They Used To" is a surprisingly fun one.

I've heard a lot of good things about Afred Bester, but this early collection of short stories didn't really justify it. Only one of the collection (The Flowered Thundermug) was memorable. The rest were average to uninteresting, and there was an undertone of sexism running through the stories that I didn't hugely like either. I'm still going to read [b:The Demolished Man|76740|The Demolished Man|Alfred Bester|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1266466978s/76740.jpg|1247570] at some point though.
