It's been basically exactly six months since I've read this and it's still one of the best insanely kinky RHes I've read, period. Consent is so beautifully written here, and if you love consensual degradation, humiliation, praise, bi rep, bully, second chance, voyeurism, blood play, knife play, so many other plays that I can't even think of right now, you will absolutely fucking devour this.

I legitimately can't bring myself to read book two yet because I don't want to say goodbye to these characters and I'm saving it for when I'm in the worst of slumps.

I’m not articulate enough to express a third of what this book had me feeling! If someone told me that the main trope was soulmates, I would’ve never questioned them. That’s exactly what these five characters are, and I love them so f-ing much.
This is one of my favorite reads this year and it’s going on my comfort books shelf. I kept prolonging reading it and going back, rereading chapters because I didn’t want to finish it but when I finally did, I felt longing. I didn’t want to leave these characters.

If the Dare was spicy, Losers is much spicier. It's kinky and very smutty but it is done in a very liberating and sex-positive way. All the characters have their own kinks, but they have created this safe place where they can share them and feel safe and free. I just loved it. It’s also one of the best spice I’ve ever read.

The author portrayed society exactly as it is. Incredibly toxic and unjust. As the characters are so diverse from each other, it was interesting to watch the world through their eyes. I also appreciated the realism in the representation of families. Manson and Lucas had terrible and extremely abusive families. Jason had very oppressive and rejective parents. Jess had a very controlling and oppressive mother. But then there was Vincent who had this beautiful, wholesome family, that I wish we will meet in the next book. Jess seriously needs a motherly role model.

Now for the characters. I thought I was going to have a favorite, but I loved them all equally. Usually, in an RH, I separate the fmc from the mmcs, but that wasn’t the case. Jess was amazing and I aspire to have her confidence. She was a very complicated character, and I was glad to watch her grow and gradually escape from the shackles of her peers and family. And although her mistakes during High school are not forgotten, she is strong enough to not hide them but work through them. Jess struggled with her role in this relationship, and she certainly battled with her desire to be with the boys or focus on the dream life she had built in her mind. However, she never struggled with her kinks, sure there were moments when she questioned herself, but she never shamed herself about that. She surely is one of my favorite fmcs this year.

The boys had this complicated and intriguing relationship between them, and it felt so free and refreshing and absolutely natural. I loved how this relationship embraced Jess, and how all the boys were truly enamored by her. All of them had their pet names for her, they had their hidden desires and moments from high school. Their relationship, this found family did not change or even struggled because Jess got involved. On the contrary, it felt like it discovered its missing part. All of them created this beautiful family. I can say so many things about each boy, their minds and hearts and stories because each one has its own identity and they remain unapologetically themselves through the book.

I – and I can’t stress this enough – cannot wait for part 2.

Did I like this book? I loved it to the moon and back.
Would I read it again? Pretty please yes.

It took a while for me to get into this book, mainly because the frequency of the intense smutty scenes at the beginning. Although I had read The Dare beforehand. But once I got to know each of the characters better, I started to love their unique personalities and their relationships with each other, plus enjoying the smut more.

This book is definitely worth all the hype I have seen about it. Reading The Dare before this book definitely helped spike the sexual tensions between the group in the beginning of the series.

I’m so ready to dive headfirst into the next book. I’m definitely interested if certain people are going to retaliate about certain events that happened at the end of the book. I’m also curious about what shit Mason’s dad is going to bring about because I have a feeling it won’t be good.

Overall, I really enjoyed this book, it had a good plot that kept me avidly reading, while also have some great spice of all flavors (iykyk) 🥵

I found the writing style and characters to be overexaggerated, almost to the point of being cartoonish, but I still found myself rooting for the main cast. It's definitely entertaining!
