Postman certainly has a way with words. His prose is lean and punchy. AOtD isn't a screed or angry rant as I worried it might be, but a prophetic warning.
Maybe not a life-changing book, but it's an essential read nonetheless.

I was not expecting a book written in the mid-'80s, mostly about the increasingly-irrelevant medium of television, to be as relevant in 2019 as this book is. The chapter about political advertisements and the effect they have on how candidates are evaluated is incredibly prescient.
