I am a HUGE fan of Lynsay Sands. She is an auto buy for me no matter what the story is about. In the latest installment in the Argeneau series, we are introduced to Cale and Alex.

We have met Alex in previous books. She is the sister to Jo and Sam Willan. While those two have already found their life mates in previous books, I was waiting on pins and needles to see who the author would pair chef and restaurant owner Alex with. While Cale is no Chef, the author made sure to fit Alex with him as a balance. Cale is a business man and hasn't cooked in over a thousand years if not more. When he finds out that Alex is his life mate though, he does try to cook and woo her at the same time.

Alex hires Cale as her project/business manager since she would rather be head chef at her restaurant then handle the paperwork. Cale is happy to oblige, and Alex finds their growing attraction hard to resist. When they share some sexy dreams, Alex finds her wall of defense crumbling.

I must say that after certain scenes in the book, I will never look at a microwave again without laughing out loud! While I loved the characters of Cale and Alex, my favorite had to be Bricker again for saving the day when Cale found himself messing something up. Bricker trying to teach Cale how to use a microwave and how to cook was hilarious. Ms. Sands never fails with the witty and fun writing that also has the sexy romance we crave. She balances it perfectly and the writing is phenomenal! While the story ended in a bit of a rush, I still was very satisfied with the book. The author also explains things to where if this is the first book you pick up and read, everything is explained without having to read the prior books.

Another fantastic read that quenched my thirst for paranormal romance! Bravo Ms. Sands for another outstanding read in the series.

Amusing read for a night when you are too awake to sleep and too braindead to do tackle complex tasks. The cooking and restaurant business was nicely described, the sex scenes sizzling. The female lead would have benefitted from a brain & street smartness infusion, though. Her blatant disbelief regarding the malevolence of her enemy was rather grating in the end.

Yay for sister number three finding a lifemate as well! I have to say that noticing all the accidents and mishaps were too much to actually be accidental seemed to take forever for the characters. It just seemed like more time than it would take in real life. I expected someone closer to her, but the way this is played out makes complete sense. Another awesome and fun read.

Read about half the book before anything happened and then yes it was some good sex as usual but the way Alex reacted when she found out about Cale being a "vampire" just pissed me off. Plus he never did tell her didn't know how to cook.

I really enjoyed this book and I have loved this series. Thanks Lynsay Sands!!!!

This one was really good!! One of the best Argeneau books I’ve read recently! I liked the couple. I liked their scenario. I liked the slight crime drama element as well. And all the sisters now finally have a happy ending!!

My favorite line from the book…
92% “The old ones don’t like the term vampire” “and you shouldn’t either. Vampires are…” “much sexier than immortals,” Bricker interrupted firmly. “Heck, they’re all the rage today. We’d get a lot more tail if we came out to the world and called ourselves vamps.”

I really liked the book. It was a fast and easy book, with a lot of funny moments and quite a few sexy moments.
But... it was the first book in the series I have read so far and I was missing quite a bit of background information.
I guess I will have to start with the first book.

This book was a quick read. I loved every moment of it and the humor is just amazing. "I felt that." Every time Alex said it, I couldn't help but laugh. This book will make you laugh and maybe make you feel a little provocative. You might even need to get a fan haha! Great book.
