PRETTY GOOD.

I’m new to Peter Pan retelling and this one was alright! I thought the concept was interesting and I liked how it was woven into a urban fantasy style plot. The dual POV with Peter Pan was great because it added another layer to the depth of the story.

The entire book just felt slow though. I kept waiting for *something* to pick up and I’m not sure it ever truly did. Seeing all of the other characters for the original story was cool. I liked how Swanson adapted them and the roles everyone played.

I’m undecided on the romance. I once again was wishing more something more to it. There’s some sweet romances and the expected conflicts. I don’t know yet if I’ll read book two.

It is a pretty interesting twist on the Peter Pan story. I will say that it has some dark and heavy topic moments. I am interested to see what will happen in the second book.

It is NOT okay that it ended that way! How am I supposed to go on with my life until I'm able to get the second book?
This was a really interesting Peter Pan "sequel." Swanson does a great job of building the story and the mystery. I got very invested in the characters and that reveal at the end was well done after the build up throughout the book.

Two coming of age stories from one too responsible that never had a childhood and one spoiled with no responsibility learning to grow.

I really enjoyed this book and can't wait to get to the sequel. An alternate reality of Peter Pan where he finds himself trapped in London and needs the help of an unsuspecting girl. A girl who's "dust" is worse than her bark trying to find her brother who believes has been kidnapped over 6 years ago. I loved the characters, and the new twist on a classic fairytale.

DNF. I tried, I really really tried. The main female character seemed super whiny to me and I just could not get over it. I also was listening to the audiobook and so maybe the reader had something to do with it.

Pages and pages of woe is me, lies, and nothing happening. I don't read stories about Peter Pan too be depressed. This was so hard to slog through.
