A bit strange, but still interesting

-Indie TBR takeover review-

Adelaide had never really fit with her family. She felt different, like she wasn't looking for the same things. And she had accepted it. But when the man of her dreams shows up in her life and turns her life around, everything makes sense. She discovers that magic is real and that she has some. And Hatter, her favorite book character, is real. He brings her on a journey to save the world and she happily follows.

The concept of this book was quite fascinating! I liked that the author made the Mad Hatter come to the real world and how she dealt with all it entailed. However, I thought that the romance was wayyyyyyy too sudden and fast. It's a personal opinion, of course, but I don't like when characters fall in love without forming a real bond/connection. In this book, it was love at first sight and became a bit too cheesy and rushed for me. I still liked the book, though, because the romance is not the only thing this story has to offer. The magical plot was quite intriguing and interesting. It was a very good idea to link Wonderland to the real world and the subplot with Adelaide's family was surprising as well. The pace was rather good - apart from the romance that was a bit rushed and sometimes too present for my taste - and I really enjoyed myself while reading, even if the main character sometimes seemed childish for her age. Overall, it was a fun and original story.

I recommend if you like rewrites and love at first sight romance.
