I was going to give this 1 star but then I thought that really it doesn’t deserve a 1 as it was just not the read for me. Considering it sits in the horror genre there was not really that much of a horror element present, even for the time it was written.
I think this particular story is only really going to make you think if you are interested in horror themed around the devil and losing faith.

Summary: A seemingly innocent young man reluctantly follows a mysterious companion on a journey through the dark woods. Along the way, he learns shocking secrets about members of his community who he had previously seen as good people. This story exposes the possibility that things are not always as they seem and difficulty of remaining good in the midst of evil.
