Definitely not as good as La Vérité sur l'affaire Harry Quebert (The Truth About the Harry Quebert Affair). The plot was interesting enough and kept me guessing throughout the book, but the ending felt rushed. The big reveal was a little disappointing due to how unbelievable it was. I also felt that Dicker struggled to blend both storylines (the author's storyline and the murder mystery) together.
An enjoyable read but wouldn't be the first book by Joël Dicker that I would recommend.

I liked the story. Maybe a few too many flashbacks & twists for my liking, but I found the story entertaining.
I did not, however, like the writing. I don’t even think it’s a translation issue.
