Dopo aver riletto centododici volte Fantastic Mr. Fox, siamo passati a questo, decisamente più corposo e meno adatto a riletture immediate. Vanessa se ne è subito innamorata, presumo anche per l'immedesimazione con la protagonista. Il libro è splendido, con quel suo saltellare fra lampi di cattiveria completamente fuori di testa e attimi di dolcezza straziante. Non ho mai frequentato Roald Dahl da bambino e scoprirlo pian piano con mia figlia è bellissimo.

What a delightful book! Kate Winslet's narration of the audiobook was wonderful, and so is the story. It's funny to read the book after watching the movie and seeing the musical, and I love the book for its whimsy. The characters are all so detailed and the plot is so normal yet unique. As a teacher, the relationship between Matilda and Ms. Honey really struck a chord. The writing is so funny, and the story is the perfect length with the perfect ending. I recommend this book to nearly everybody!

This was such a fun and light read. I really loved Matilda but as it is a childrens book, i think if i had read it when i was younger, i would have loved it more def.
