Just not quite engaging enough for me and it gets slowed by descriptions. It also kept stoping to tell the reader that it had only been a few days.

A decent urban fantasy book. I do like that we saw more immortals and that some of them are names were quite familiar with.

This book does distinctly feel like it comes from the 2010s so it feels aged. Not that thats exactly a bad thing. 

Sophie and Josh sometimes felt annoying, yet they were very realistic characters.

Il secondo volume della saga si è rivelato meglio del primo, ma riconosco di essere estremamente influenzata dalla figura di Machiavelli che ho adorato. Il modo con cui Scott riesce a fare vedere gli avvenimenti dalla sia prospettiva mi diverte. Anche l'altro cattivo, Dee, è più convincente rispetto al primo libro e si approfondiscono le spaccature sia nello schieramento dei buoni sia in quello dei cattivi. Non escludo grandi sorprese nei prossimi volumi!
