So this book I didn’t like quite as much as the first one. About halfway through I came really close to giving up and moving on to something else. I actually did stop for about a week and try listening to something else. Which I think then I did DNF that one, and will post about it later. But I came back to this and ended up being interested enough to go on to the final book. For example: the thought about how being desired, feeling desirable is something so hard to let go really resonates with me. And I totally get it, it’s very addictive. And I said a big amen to the part about violence and bad language ok, but the human body being so horrible in America. So frustrating!! Something Kaitlyn did or said was that if no one can see you because you’re hiding, then they can’t ignore you is probably something I do myself. The part that made me almost give up was another bit about “the marrying kind” of girl, and how she shouldn’t be giving him a blow job if she was that kind of girl. I mean WTF! So judgemental I was really irritated. I get some men may think that way, but I didn’t expect it from the guy we are supposed to be falling in love with along with the heroine.

Martin is toxic as hell.  I'm all for a tortured jerk, but not a manipulative guy with possible borderline personality disorder.  These characters are so immature. Having 19\20 year olds take about how they love each other after 1 week is laughable.  How convenient that he's a millionaire. Also, how do you go from not ready to have sex to ready in 1 conversation after your boyfriend tests your loyalty by hurting you emotionally. </Spoiler>

I almost DNF-ed this.

But I decided to skip from the 3rd chapter right to the second from the last. So yeah, it wasn't the best reading experience.

2.5 - 3? ⭐️ Not sure..

I didn’t enjoy this as much as I enjoyed the first book.

It started really good but there was lot of personality clashes and unnecessary arguments between the main characters which I didn’t mind, but it kept happening again and again. It got repetitive and boring at times. I was shocked when they exchanged “I love you” so early

This book! I loved the first book and book two in the series did not disappoint. I am not normally I fan of college romances but this one is so smart and soulful that I just loved it. Penny Reid is the queen of the Smarter Romance and this series is a perfect example. I cant wait to start book 3!
