5 the dynamite duo is back together again stars!!

Okay it’s official Deacon is my favorite, I know I haven’t read them all.. but I think I can call it already he’s definitely my favorite. He totally came off as a person who didn’t care to work in book 1, and very irresponsible. I love it when the character finally gets their own book and you get to peel back the layers and see what makes them tick because Deacon has so many layers! He is actually really smart, and sensitive to others feelings. He was so unbelievably sweet to Quinn and her father. Ugh I just can’t hand how great a book boyfriend these two authors made Deacon.

Quinn was like wonder woman with everything she had going on in her life. I have quite an amazing father and I would still adopt her father. I loved him as a character and I really hope he stays on for future books. Poor Quinn doesn’t want to let anyone help her in any of her struggles she wants to do it on her own, to show that she can do it on her own. It’s really hard to let other people in sometimes and that’s what this book shows.

I’m telling you when these two authors get together its like perfection. I can’t tell who wrote what part, all I know is once I start reading I cannot put it down nor would I. I’m so excited for the next book in this series because I know it will be amazing. These two will be an auto buy for me.

It started with a bang! Literally. Howell and Wolf waste no time getting this story going. From the first sentence, readers are propelled deep into the characters. I love how it immediately pulls you in. Deacon and Quinn are at the heart of this office romance. While it is a steamy read, it still had a lot of depth. The banter between brothers is hilarious. Quinn’s dad immediately stole my heart. The pacing and flow were perfect. I do wish I would have read the first book in the series first, though this book can stand alone. I was intrigued enough by the characters to want more, so I plan to start Cocky Playboy immediately!

All in all, Possessive Playboy is a seriously steamy read that delivers much more than just heat. I recommend this story to anyone looking for a sexy, quick read. This was my first read by Howell or Wolf, but I will definitely check out more from each of them. I especially look forward to more in this series!

Possessive Playboy is the second book in the Cocky Suits series. This series is about The Hunter Group law firm. Deacon and Quinn start out as just a quickie in the supply closet but things don’t end there. Love this series and both these authors!! Ready for the next one!!

Quick Info
Standalone/Cliffhanger?: Standalone
Part of a Series?: Yes
----------------------------------
Meeting the Characters
Deacon Collins
Quinn
----------------------------------
What happens?
Deacon is one of the brothers from the last book. He is the one that causes Tate the most bother with his attitude towards her and work.
Quinn is a PA at the company going to night school to study law and become a lawyer herself. She doesn't trust Deacon as being committed to her and so is very guarded with him. Deacon being the man child he is doesn't try very hard to prove to her he means he wants her and no body else.
Final thoughts
This was such a good read.
I enjoyed Deacon and Quinn even if Deacon was annoying sometimes.
Would I read again?: Yes
Would I read this author again?: Yes
Would I continue on with the series?: Yes

He is head over heels for her and does not understand how she could reject him.
She is levelheaded and doesn't want to open up because with his reputation she thinks he is incapable of having a real relationship and she will only get hurt if she allows more than sex.

Loved it! So far Deacon is my favorite. This is a hot series about a group of brothers and it looks like they’re each getting their own HEA. Omg the feels when Deacon is obsessing over Quinn is just scorching hot!

What did I like? The whole possessive vibe that Deacon has going on is just panty melting. To have that kind of focus of a hot guy on you has got to be amazing. No wonder Quinn can’t help herself. The story flows great, and just swept me away. I did not want to put it down which in my book gives it five star rating.

Would I buy / recommend? Absolutely... this is a great series, I was so immersed in the story rooting for Deacon to get what he so badly wanted. Quinn was right to be cautious with such a playboy.

Thoughts for the author? Loved this one, definitely going on my favorites list! Can’t wait for the next brother to fall. You’ve got me hooked.

If the start of this book doesn't grab your attention, nothing will, and if I hadn't already guessed that this couple would generate some steam, it wouldn't have taken long to figure it out. However, steamy chemistry aside, I wasn't completely on board the Deacon and Quinn train at first. Oh, I liked Quinn, and once we're introduced to her father, her serious, no-nonsense character makes perfect sense. Deacon was where I ran into trouble. Not that he isn't likable, but he's such a joker that I had trouble taking him seriously. I wanted to see him put his money where his mouth was and show Quinn that he meant business. Of course, it didn't take long for Sloane and Alex to change my mind about Deacon, and before I knew it, I was firmly in his cheering section, rooting for this pair every step of the way. I'm not even sure exactly when or even why I changed my mind, but I certainly did. The whole story comes together perfectly for an engaging office romance. We even get to catch up with Dexter and Tate from book one while still maintaining Possessive Playboy as a standalone. The book is full of witty banter, terrific characters, and a swoon-worthy romance. All in all, this second book is a great addition to the Cocky Suits Chicago series, and I can't wait to see which Collins will fall in love next.

Alex Wolf and Sloane Howell are KILLING it with this series! Possessive Playboy is book two in the Cocky Suits Chicago series and it may even be better than the first book!

Deacon and Quinn burn up the pages in Possessive Playboy! Deacon is smitten with Quinn and she is not about to make their relationship more than it needs to be. This steamy story was full of emotion yet fun and very sexy. I enjoyed seeing Deacon do anything and everything to make their relationship work, even though there were quite a few times I wanted to smack that man on the back of the head!

The flow of this book was perfect and I couldn’t tell where one author stopped and the other started. I look forward to so much more in the Cocky Suits Series and from these two authors!

ARC received for an honest review

Decker who? Move over because there is a bigger and better Collins man on the horizon. And one that I wasn't sure if i was going to like or not.

Possessive Playboy started with a bang, and held me captive to the story right to the end.

Deacon and Quinn's story is hot and sexy, but it is more than just sex. The character development, especially in Deacon, is fantastic. You can't help but love the guy and feel for the guy as the story progresses.

Wolf and Sloane write so well together, that you don't know when one ends and the other begins. The story flows seamlessly and I found myself impatient to turn the next page, needing to know what would happen next.

I am looking forward to more of the Cocky Suits Chicago series.
