Review when I re-read this manga in 2014:

I first read this book 5 years or so ago (if not longer) and decided I wanted to re-read the series again, to see if I still liked it as much as I did years ago.

And did I like it? Yes I did. So lovely to see all the characters again, to see them interact. I really love Kohaku, though she (or is it a he, you can't really tell) is a real ditz and does many things wrong. She/he really needs protection from various things. Luckily Shuichiro doesn't mind saving her/him. I can't wait to see what will happen again, it has been quite a few years, so I don't exactly know what happens at the end. Really excited though, and I will be sure to keep cheering for Kohaku and Shuichiro to get together!

Of course they aren't the only characters, we also have demons/devils and more angels. It is a real chaos at time, and I felt like it could have been executed better. Suddenly we got a whole revelation and a whole new story just in one volume. But that is to be expected of CLAMP, who likes to have lots of characters and various stories in their manga. :)

I will be sure to continue reading, and also patiently waiting for other CLAMP manga to come out (xxxHolic Rei, I am looking at you). :)

CLAMP has been breaking gender since 1996.

This rating and review are for all completed volumes.

Now, when I'm biased, I can't give those authors stars less than three, and CLAMP is one of my biases so.

And I put my Yaoi-Shoai shelf, thank you, why no one notice that the Angel (who his name? I forgot) who lives with Shuichirou is actually genderless, and more so that Hisui and Kokuyou refer him as a 'he'?

Ah well, it's a romance after all. Light and funny, like CLAMP's other works when they decided to do some light story. And the ending! So much CLAMP typical soulmate!
SpoilerI kinda sad when Shuichiro died after he confessed his feeling, though. Poor man. But soulmate linked forever, CLAMP's rule, eh?

This was a cute story, and it made me laugh out loud a couple times, but the story movement was slow and I don’t really feel much of an impetus to continue the series. The theology was interesting too — though I took it more as a fantasy theology rather than a specific take on Christian theology. (Had I viewed it as some offshoot of Christian theology, I’d probably be less satisfied.)

The illustrations were adorable also and definitely contributed significantly to my enjoyment of the story. I loved the facial expressions throughout the book, specifically.

May continue this series, may not. We shall see!

I’ve owned the whole Wish series for years, but have never actually read it. I enjoy CLAMP works very much, and this was no exception. The plot is simple, but cute, and I love the back and forth between chibi style animation and normal. Looking forward to reading the rest of this short series.

I have no idea what it's doing but it is cute and has nonbinary characters. And I adore CLAMP.
