This book gave me an sexy, haters-to-lovers & fake fiancé story in only 155 pages.

It was short, sometimes unnecessary details, but it managed to give the characters history & connection. Definitely something quick to read during this time of year!

DNF about 20% of the way in. It's cute, but I have a hard time getting into books where it feels like the dialogue (which also extends to emails) isn't how normal people would actually talk. Right from the jump that took me out of the world of the story, so when it switched from email to narrated action, I wasn't bought in and had a hard time continuing once I put it down for the night. Would still try other stuff by the author, but this one wasn't for me.

I read this for an online book club. Even with my lowered standards for a cheesy Christmas romance book it was pretty bad.

Sometimes you need a fake fiancé to realize true love;)
Penny and Wes have worked for their fathers, but now the time has come and the two companies are merging. But for that to happen the two of them need to get married otherwise the merger will fall through. The deadline is Christmas Eve at midnight. The only problem is, that they do not want to get married. Or at least that is what they say now.
This was a great shot novella to finish off my year. It is very fast-paced and if you love the fake dating/fake marriage trope this is perfect. I had to hold myself off on finishing it last night. But it is a one-sitting kind of book. Wes and Penny are just great!
