“Crossing Lines” by Alexis Gorgun tells the tale of Evren and Nina’s heartfelt and emotional forced proximity/age gap love story, which I thought was complete and utter perfection!

Evren is so protective and possessive when it comes to Nina, and I love that he takes responsibility for his actions and learns from his mistakes. We all deserve a man like Evren Kaya in our lives, and I’m keeping my fingers crossed that I find mine one day.

I think that Nina is such a vivacious and lovable heroine. She’s been through a lot, but she doesn’t let anything dull her sparkle, and I love her sassy personality and snarky nature as well. I admire her for her strength and her perseverance.

Evren and Nina’s chemistry is scorching hot, and has been from the very first page. I love their snarky banter, and I think that they’re perfect for each other, even though they’re total opposites. This was absolutely a 5 star read for me!

Alright y'all. After book 1 (Faking Ties) I was eagerly waiting on book 2! And it did NOT disappoint.

The age-gap and forced proximity combined with the suspense and spice made this book so good. It was an amazing story and I cant wait to see the storyline continue in book 3. And I bet I k own who its about 👀😉

Thank you to The Smuthood and Alexis Gorgun for the opportunity to ARC read and review

Age gap and slow burn... two of my forever tropes that I just can't say no to.

I loved Evren's character; he was just so lovable that I couldn't not love him. His wanting to take care of everyone, especially Nina, was sweet and felt very genuine to who he is as character.

Then there's Nina... she is very closely guarded and makes it very difficult for Evren to get close to her. Dating a very wealthy guy? That's a super hard pass for her, especially because of her mother. I wasn't expecting the 'Nina's mom drama' here quite as much as it was present. Her mother is a huge part of Nina being closely guarded and it takes a lot for Evren to get close to her.

As much as it is a romance, it's very relatable. Yes, there's some suspending belief (NFL owner, all of that), but the emotional growth with Nina and her relationship with Evren makes relatable on a human level.

This is my 1st Alexis Gorgun book and I definitely want to read more because of it!

I love an age gap billionaire story but this one had even more in store.
Evren Kaya and Nina Martin are complete opposites. Evren is the billionaire team owner of the Sentinels whose closet is a sea of black and white. Nina is an aspiring clothing designer who's lost her spark. She loves color. Evren is the quiet introvert who seems standoffish but has trust issues. Nina is an extrovert who loves spending time with her friends. Evren keeps close tabs on his family after his father's death. Nina juggles the verbal and emotional roller coaster her pill addicted mother keeps her on.
I loved these characters and the plot. Evren's brother Zeki is a favorite and I hope he gets his own book.

Crossing Lines by Alexis Gorgun ✨️arc review✨️

I simply ADORED this book 🤭 I was so happy when I found out that the MCs for this book were Nina and Evren because after their interaction at the end of book 1.....I swear I needed their story like I needed my next oxygen consumption.

The dynamic that Nina and Evren had was genuinely so sweet and complete comedy gold at some points. Especially in the beginning parts of the book because they're polar opposites that are seemingly attracted to each other shoved in the same house last minute 😂😂😂 what could go wrong????

As their relationship started to blossom, I think my favorite part was them learning to lean and trust each other. I love how when one of them was talking, whether it was important or something random, they gave each other their undivided attention.

I think my favorite relationship dynamic was the one between the girls. Nina, Elodie, Aria, and Stella are absolutely one of my favorite girlie bestie group ☺️ they're just so wholesome it's honestly hard to not love their friendship. ALSO, their text threads are actually hilarious 😂

I genuinely loved this book, and I'm so excited for book 3 because I SWEAR if I don't get Aria and Jake AT SOME POINT, I'll crash out. But seriously, for my football bookish babes, this book is an absolute MUST 💜

He’s a billionaire. She’s far from it. He’s stoic. She’s loud. He’s a black and white wardrobe. She an every color under the sun type girl. Is it possible to cross lines for someone that’s your exact opposite?

Crossing Lines is a fun, sweet romance that will have you falling for Nina and Evren. They are complete opposites in every way… on the surface. Underneath, both have the capacity for more love than they let others know. Their story is full of fun, emotion, and growth as they explore their feelings for each other and for the circumstances around them.

Gorgun brings a story line that ranges from fun banter to emotionally heavy situations that flow seamlessly to weave a tale of two people who were made for each other. If you’re in the mood for a story that will leave you with all the feels, Crossing Lines is the perfect one for you.

Evren is a broody billionaire football team owner who suddenly finds himself living with Nina, a bold and creative young designer with a sharp tongue and a painful past. Their chemistry is instant and undeniable. I loved watching them push each other's buttons while slowly letting their guards down.

Nina’s journey especially hit close to home. Her growth was powerful and real, and she absolutely deserved the love and support she finally found. Evren turned out to be the perfect match for her in every way.

The slow burn, the petty arguments, the sizzling tension, and yes, the cereal and sauna scenes all made this a standout read for me. There is also just enough mystery to keep you flipping pages late into the night.

I didn’t read the first book in the series, but this one stands strong on its own with a lovable friend group and just the right amount of spice.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

I truly wanted to like this book more as I really enjoyed the first one in this series but it was just way too chaotic for me.

Nina is a bit all over the place in this book. First, if I had a friend decorate my own home without telling me, we’d have problems. Plus she had so much to work through and while I’m happy she gets to a healthier place, what do you mean her mom is a liar and manipulator that so much so Nina has to hide everything from her and it stops her from being successful in her life?

Evren was something else too. I still don’t understand how he became a billionaire but okay. His situation was also very chaotic so this book was just chaos lol. I did like him and Nina together but the lack of fluidity in the scenes made it that things just kind of happened. There really was no real build up and that was that. Their intimate scenes felt shoved into the book. I give it a 3 🌶️ out of 5.

I did enjoy see the gang all together again. I wish we could have just seen them the entire time to be honest. That second to last chapter is what I wish this entire book felt like.

Overall, an okay read but not enough to recommend to push to the top of your TBR pile. Thank you Alexis Gorgun and The Smuthood for the ARC in exchange of an honest review.

This one was okay but not my favorite. I have not read Book 1 and my experience would have probably been better if I did. It's obvious that there's already some story between Evren and Nina that continued on to this book. I did not understand Nina's personality and because of that, it was hard for me to connect to her character. I think same goes to Evren but at least he was intriguing enough for me to keep going. I like the mystery/suspense aspect and guessing who might be behind the issues. I love the girls and their friendship. I love Stella and Aria and cant wait to read their books. I love how Evren took care of Nina in a "I'm a billionaire" type of way but not obnoxious. I love how protective Nina became of Evren physically and emotionally too. I adore Zeki and enjoyed whenever he is on scene in the book.

I did not understand Nina's hesistance about the jacket. Was it that big of a deal in Book 1? I want to know. I dont understand her reasoning. I hated Nina's backstory of his mom and dad - one because they are horrible people, both of them and two, it just seemed an awful lot to pile on in the book that is already full of chaos. I enjoyed Zeki's banter with Nina more than Nina and Evren's interactions sometimes.

Im very curious about Elodie and Hunter so I will read Book 1 and maybe I'll understand Nina and Evren's dynamic better and be able to rate this better. For now though, with the elements I like, I would rate it a 3.
