Meh. A bit underwhelmed. The story didn’t really seem to get started until about 90% of the way through.

Probably not the best choice of book to read when on holiday in a hotel that you had to get in the lift every day! That aside, it was a great read & I couldn’t put it down. Kept me hooked until the end!

Thanks to NetGalley, the publisher & Linwood Barclay for the ARC copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Yet another taut thriller from Barclay that kept me guessing until the end. His books are definitely a bit unnerving and unsettling but they do keep you turning the pages every step of the way. This one could easily be made into a movie.

I finished this book yesterday, and another one early this morning; both had interesting premises. This one pretty much pulled it off, the other not so much.

Elevators suddenly plunging is a fear of mine, so this book's premise was frightening to me.

I have read a few of Barclay's books, and this one built up nicely. There was a nice twist I didn't see coming. One earlier twist was a bit easier to spot. Overall, a decent thriller with some interesting characters.
