I listened to the audiobook based on a friend's recommendation. Although I didn't resonate with many parts of the book, it's helpful for learning to let go of the need for control, understanding that loving intensely is not inherently bad; it can be a virtue with boundaries.

I read this book after watching a popular Instagram/YouTube dating personality, Kendra G.  The reason for the recommendation is in the title: women do love hard…and too much.  So much so that we put other people’s feelings above our own.

The book was eye-opening for me, in that it was very intriguing to learn, through shared stories, how other women think.  I think that I went through some of these phases during my late teens and early twenties, so I don’t that many of the stories related to my current ‘Me’.  The stories were reflective though.  Good read for those who need inspiration in getting through loving a person hard…even though they don’t deserve it.

Now if I can find a book that teaches me how to stop cutting men off at the first sign of a red flag…because my cut off game is strong.

A great in to learn to reel yourself in, to recognise patterns and understand behaviours. Sure, there is a clear 80's influence, but discernment goes a long way. Interesting nonetheless.
