I didn't think this was as good as some of the other Anansi books (Anansi and the Talking Melon is a favorite at our house!) but it was good. The end was a bit strange, but my kids and I enjoyed it nonetheless.

Possibly our favorite of Eric Kimmel’s Anansi series (maybe tied with Turtle’s last appearance, Anansi Goes Fishing). The illustrations of Turtle choosing a costume and Turtle, dressed in a pink bunny costume, making chocolate turtles in his underwater kitchen are particularly whimsical and delightful. Also, I love any children’s book that ends in a question.
