Twas an okay and quick read. I read the novella out of order in the timeline so I was very confused about the characters which was my bad.

I love this entire series and re-read it pretty much once a year it has been my go to series when I want to comfort read for like 13 years

Okay after the glass series, I was very intrigued to pick back up the study series in this chronicles. I did, sort of, go out of order because Ice Study was before Spy Glass. Which, yes, does seem weird to me since it's the novella to Shadow Study but details.

I'm kind of glad that I did go out of order though. Mostly because I didn't really enjoy the spy book but this novella just brought back all my favorite characters and made me happy all over again. It honestly doesn't surprise me that Yelena constantly finds trouble. So when Owen came into the picture - I didn't like the guy instantly. He really needed to go because he was a huge douche and thought he was mister tough guy. Well, spoiler alert - Valek and Yelena were going to show you how tough you really weren't.

In the end, I'm not surprised by what happened with Owen or Ben, Owens super dumb brother. All I know is that Yelena is safe(ish) and I can't wait to dive into the next book.
