I really loved this book, overall. I found the 3rd part to drag on and it didn’t seem necessary to the story line. Other than that, it was well written & I loved the storyline & characters.

Beautiful writing 3.5 stars

Bea is sent to the US during WWII and she keeps her time there with her for the rest of her life as do her temporary family.

While an interesting, fresh take on the WWII era, I wasn’t quite sure where this one intended to go, or why it ended up where it did. A full day of chores with a long car ride to follow made for a quick read.
