The writing style was not capturing and left me very confused in addition to the time jumps and immediate new character introduction. I barley got 100 pages in and I had no idea what was going on and was expected to know who 5 characters were when all I got from them were not only out or chronological order but the chapters they were given were less than two pages full of exposition.
I just think it needed better writing style for me to get invested- I see this being adapted well but as a novel it needs work.

This book was exceptional in so many ways. The writing style was unique and at times, at fault of solely myself as the reader, hard to follow. The robust information, enchanting sensational aroma of cultivation, by far deserved more than the attention I could give.

The story itself was beautiful. The characters fought for the ending of the game, until they fought for their ending. I wish I could say more about how this book just invites or unveils magical imagination. A beautiful story, indeed.

A very enjoyable read. I loved the language, it worked so well with the whole essence of the book. The jump in time, foreshadowing and cliffhangers, added well to the mystery of the plot, and I liked how things were slowly revealed, like fictional quotes from a character not met until halfway through the book
