A lot of times, we feel the need to have to reason a 3 star review. A 3 star isn't a 'bad' book. I think bad books are undeserving of stars at all, or...1 star if it has to have a star in the system.
Mediocre books are 2 stars. I don't see a reason why a book shouldn't be written, but it can be better written that what I just read.
3 stars...are okay. They're not...terrible, but they're not great. With my reviews, I'm very opinionated. The stars really only revolve around my opinion of the story. And I fully feel that certain stories should only be read during periods of time in our lives. A story I read ten years ago might feel different if I read it today.
The same applies. This book might deserve a better rating if I read it later in my life.
I liked the story, not because of the contents or material, but rather, it gave me the idea to reflect upon my own experiences. A little spoilery, but how I would interpret life if I lost my memory. Or what my goals in life would be if I woke up in another world.
I felt the writing a bit dry (As is my writing) but I still felt this book was 'one step below "enjoyed"' on my emotions meter.

I love me a good labyrinth. Reminiscent of Gene Wolfe and Shutter Island, where things are not as they seem, but much more accessible.
this book is something else completely. it feels like it takes you to a different world. tho there were a couple of places where i felt completely lost, i still loved this book immensely. highly recommend.
and btw at some point it gave me major ‘night film’ vibes. anybody else?

The House is enchanting. Piranesi is a pure soul... A must read for those who love worlds that go beyond reality... ✨

I didn’t know what to expect, but it was honestly great.
I started off very confused, and was relieved when I found out I was meant to be.
The reader goes through revelations alongside the main character.
I loved “Piranesi’s” youthful outlook on his world. It reminds the reader to be grateful for the simple beauty’s of our world.
I listened to this book and I think that helped me get over the first hump (which you MUST).

I was obsessed with at least 75% of this book. The house, the Other, the bones… the mystery! It was warm and inviting, and I had no idea how it would play out.
Unfortunately the end kind of fell flat for me which dropped it down a star. However I still absolutely love this book and highly recommended it.
