Dr. Alfred Jone handed an impossible task of bringing Salmon fishing to Yemen.

Yes, that's outrageous but it's exactly what this book is about.

A nice fun read, nothing extraordinary yet it will keep you hooked.
The curiosity to know whether it works out or not.

Paul has covered every possible reaction from orthodox terrorists boycotting the project to opposition stating it waste of money.

Politicians making bold claims while their employees check the feasibility of those.

My favorite is Mary, Alfred's wife who is a prudent woman and keeps taunting Alfred's decisions via emails.

Completely absorbing and heart warming. I finished it over a few long sittings and thoroughly enjoyed myself. A great holiday read.

Interesting novel about a sheikh who wants to bring salmon to the Yemen so that his countrymen might stand peacefully alongisde him as he fishes. Follows how the fisheries scientist involed undergoes a life-changing transformation during the project. Occassionally a bit tedious and not a wholly satisfying ending. Not being British, I didn't get all of the political subtext.
