Great book. Not the greatest plot, but interesting enough, the story relies on the characters to capture your attention. In my opinion it ends too soon for int's own good, it's hard when you contemplate the end and realize you're not ready to leave that world, those characters, that story. You just keep wondering what will happen next, staying as one of the few cases that I wouldn't mind if it became a trilogy.

I never read the original, but after this John Scalzi gained a fan.

P.S. The AudioBook it's amazing, Wil Wheaton nailed it.

This one was on a list of Goodreads recommendations - you know those lists that suggest things you've already read or have no interest in but every once in a while yield an interesting work? Yep, those lists.

This was a fast moving tale with of Jack Holloway. A man I thought, like others in the book, I had pegged. But Jack's a slippery fellow and this tale is an excellent read. I recommend it for anyone who likes their Sci with great Fi and their stories with great characters. Some are shallow but those are worth putting up with for the greats.

There were some truly laugh out loud moments and I loved 'em.

I gave it an 8.5/10 on my personal scale.

Very enjoyable. Good character development, good plot, good story, rather funny, sometimes ironic.

Fun book! interesting combination of sci-fi and legal drama and the main character is very compelling!

Read this in two days while on vacation in NW Arkansas. Loved it! Then again, I love how Scalzi writes

I am currently in a stingy star giving rut. I thoroughly enjoyed this book but the very end it got a bit too "procedural" and intricate for a full 5 star rating. Scalzi's forte is and has always been witty banter between his main characters, snarky, flippant and amusing. Not everyone will enjoy that as much as I do but he is still quite good at writing dialog. His characters always seem to have a good chunk of self honesty about them, mostly good natured but with admitted defects and shortcomings, something I very much like because that is how I see the world and most everyone else which makes it easy to insert myself into the story.

The downside to Fuzzy Nation is that Scalzi relies a bit too heavily on the dialog and the end gets bogged down in a courtroom. I do however LOVE epilogues which this book had.

I was late to work because I wanted to finish the book so maybe it really did deserve 5 stars.

It's not his best work but I'd still recommend it, it's Scalzi.
