Cheeky Brat is such a good manga, but reading it as an adult definitely makes me roll my eyes at Naruse more than I would have as a teenager. Overall, a good vol 1 manga, just lacking something.

I decided to reread this manga in order to read the second volume of it I have. In all honesty, although I enjoy the book, I don’t at the same time. It fulfills my romance urge, but honestly, I can easily find other mangas that fulfills that romance itch significantly better. It’s just very surface-levely with a not-great leading lady and an annoying leading male.
