I had fun reading this book! This was the perfect book to start off my fall reading. Was it predictable? Yes but I was eating it up. The feud between the families is what kept me hooked. I felt like this book could’ve been a tv show on the cw. I’d recommend if you are leaning towards a more ya book!

this was such a surprise but i really liked this a lot! it doesn’t reinvent the wheel with YA magic coven stories imo, but it executes everything so well. the characters were all great, the family feuding was full of drama, and the small town summery back to school atmosphere was perfect. I loved all the characters, even the side characters had complexity! and i can’t wait to read the conclusion

I lost a parent young so understand Penny wanting to go above and beyond. Lots of great bits of information littered in between all of the turns.
