A trio of three short stories involving women with moxie and men with a taste for crime. My favorite was Jane, a prospective Hero who turns down a crummy sidekick gig to strike out on her own & applies to be the assistant to Mad Scientist Professor Damascus Thornfield. I love this author and this is another solid showing.

This is the seven book in the series about super villains who despite their best efforts not to end up turning into the unlikeliest of heroes. It's a book for anyone who likes comic books, but with a realistic twist and blurred lines between good and evil, focusing mainly on intentions. The tropes that this books also follows is found family and throughout the series you find the various members of the group coming together and building even stronger bonds even with the most unexpected individuals.
This book is a shorter collection of stories of various villains from around the main characters and how their storylines fit into the bigger whole. Because the stories were shorter then the longer books it was an easy read even though you didn't know them very well, however it introduced various characters which you wanted to find out more about and made you question and wonder where in this wonderful world that the author build they were going to take the story next.

think i would have enjoyed the stories more if the desire to breathlessly use italics everywhere had been reined in just a bit
Great short stories, I especially recommend this book to all "Consortium of chaos" fans!
