Persepolis is a powerful read. As someone unfamiliar with the landscape of Iran, some of the town and city names were a little challenging to keep track of, but that doesn't take away from the impact of the story.

Great emotional story of war and abuse induced on people of Iran. So important to read. The wriitng was very consise and showed the growing of Marji very smoothly. The art was beautiful, but sometimes terrifying. The next story is even more heartbreaking. This really shows what war and oppression can do for a young generation.
