Powerful and heartbreaking. I'm glad I got to know her name and learn the story.

Instantly became one of my favorite books. Chanel’s writing makes you feel like you’re not only a friend, but a sibling, and it leaves you dizzy with how to navigate as an onlooker to her trauma. Graciously vulnerable and joyfully honest.

This was difficult to read but I could not put it down. So good and so heartbreaking.

This is a hard read. As a woman, as a mother to a girl, as a human. Extremely well written, and I have already ordered her (unrelated) children's book.
