I loved this book. I want the boys to read it, but when they're older and it will resonate with them more. It's about grieving, family relationships, finding who you are - all things I've struggled with my whole life. It was absolutely beautiful. I want to go back and read it through again just to cherish it even more and think more deeply about it.

I didn't really resonate with the book as much as I had thought I would. It was a good story, but it didn't spark anything in me.

I read this aloud to my 9 (almost 10) year old daughter and we both loved it. The end was very touching (she teased me for crying during one of the last chapters, but it was so poignant there was no stopping it) and I loved the messaging about coming into who you are and learning to cope with loss. A great book for parents to read with their kids.

An emotional book that deals with a hard topic in a compassionate way.

More than anything, I love the way the book approaches the topics of grief, hardship, love and perseverance in such a tender way. Although these are heavy topics, the author does an excellent job of weaving magical elements into the story, leaving the reader with feelings that are more wholesome than disheartening.

I've never been through a loss, yet I found that I could relate to the emotions of the main character. I could relate to feeling "invisible" seeing "invisible things" that I couldn't speak of. I could also relate to the feeling of not wanting to share one's "bad stories"; stories that are so painful that we think it's better not to speak of them. The book really shows how people are not any singular thing, that we are more complex.

As a lover of stories and a believer of the impact they could have, I was more than enamored with this book. Truly a book worth five stars and an infinite more.
