Ended up giving it a 2.5. I started reading it and almost dnf after the first couple of chapters but then had a long drive so put the audiobook on. Adam's chapters/narration kept me in, it was actually kind of funny in places (not sure if it was meant to be), but Sarah's chapters and narrator were not good. I would have evened it out with a 3, but the ending made me roll my eyes so hard I was in danger of driving off the road. (This scenario is more plausible than this book).

I just….. wow. I really didn’t see that coming. and I DEFINITELY didn’t see the second hidden little jab coming either. This was an emotional rollercoaster of a book but it kept me on my toes!!

 I never expected where this book would end up. The last chapter plot twist threw me for a loop and left me slack-jawed. As my first read by Jeneva Rose, I enjoyed her simple, but descriptive, writing style and how she kept the storyline moving. There was just enough detail about the surrounding world to understand where this was all taking place and how the dynamics of the characters differ. Overall, I enjoyed the read!

Honestly this book was tough to get through. The writing was not great and it was all around confusing at times. All of the twists expect for the final one we’re pretty predictable. The final twist honestly didn’t make sense after reading the book

the characters were annoying and didn’t feel flushed out. I had heard good things and was overall not impressed.

the First half of this book was way better than the second half. Plot twists were coming out of nowhere and not in a good way. It felt like twists just for the sake of twists and it didn’t correlate with the story. There were so many plot holes in this book, and the investigation parts were simply ridiculous
