This book reads really fast and does keep your interest the entire time. Not much to say without spoilers, I enjoyed it and would say I liked it I just wouldn’t say I loved it and continue to think about it. Still a really good read and would recommend just not a top for me. Still good story and shocking twists and etc.

I was surprised how much I enjoyed this. Even though it was extremely predictable (like I predicted all the big twists
minus the one where she actually worked with Bobby to do it; didn't see that one coming; and they got married
) but I was still entertained. I read it in one day. I liked Sarah's POVs. Adam's on the other hand annoyed me so much especially in the beginning. He was just acting like an idiot the whole time. Although the book wasn't masterpiece by any means it did what it had to do and was really entertaining for me. If you're going to read it I defintely recommend the audiobook.

Waaaah! This story is compelling as fuck. I read it so fast. The audiobook companion added to the excitement of the narrative. I hated Adam for consistently saying that he loved Sarah but chose to cheat on her for a year! I kind of had a vibe that it would be Sarah who was behind all of it, well because she was the aggrieved party and cheated on.

Eleanor had me roll my eyes every time she said something. Anne, aww, you had no idea.

Bob, damn you,  I gave it four stars because of the ending.

The scheming was interesting, too! Too bad for Adam and Sarah's mother they already died.

I just had a feeling that Sarah wouldn't stop at this. Damn, 11 years, she waited that long for this long game, her patience could be applauded, but it was cruel as hell.

Yeah, Adam cheated, to pin a murder on him for revenge, smart, but truly cruel.

3.5 rating solely because of the ending! One thing I hate about books is when you’re reading from the 1st person perspective, like from the characters thoughts, and their thoughts don’t end up matching the plot. Super early on I assumed Sarah was the killer and planned this all to get back at him, but after reading all her genuine reactions of concern and fear and unbelief that Adam could do this, I was like “okay not her I guess” but the last 30 pages it’s like just kidding! If that was her plan the whole time wouldn’t her thoughts be about that? I know the book wouldn’t have been the same if we had Sarah’s real thoughts, but this book was so hyped up for me I was expecting something crazy and was a bit disappointed. I did enjoy the writing a lot though and it had me glued to the book so even though I’m complaining it actually wasn’t bad

How in the world was this a debut novel?!! I AM BEYOND IMPRESSED.

This is one of the best domestic thrillers I’ve read in a long time, and I think one of the best, period. I read it all in nearly one sitting. The pacing of the story just increased with every chapter, and the dual POVs between Sarah, the renowned attorney, and her husband Adam, accused of murdering his mistress, made for the utmost suspense and scandal. Seriously, the writing in this book was incredible. I could barely put the book down to eat, though I definitely had moments of pause just trying to wrap my head around everything going on with this case.

Ugh, it was perfect! It’ll keep you guessing and piecing things together the whole way through as if you’re a part of the trial yourself. Highly, highly recommend this one!
