The second book in the A.Shaw series was just as good as the first. Shaw became a little more human in this book despite his years of training to be otherwise. I look forward to the next in this series of books, if there will be one.

I usually love Baldacci's books. This one left me disappointed after having a really cool premise.

It took me a while to get into this one. Kuchin was evil, tho. No question there. It took me over a month to reach mid-point tho the last half flew by pretty quickly. Not a fan of the hunt near the end. Thrilling and action-packed as always!

Listened to this one. This was very good. Will D. Baldacci continue the series? Or will I have to decide what happens to the characters???

Another great thriller by Baldacci.

This is a good thriller with an interesting plot that leads to unusual relationships between characters.  The title is on target, and the main villain is just too evil for me.  The evil deeds are very unsettling and sometimes very gory.

Once the story got moving, I think I liked it better than The Whole Truth. Enough that I'll probably pick up the next Shaw book when it comes out. Shaw and Frank (who's my favorite character) seemed more fleshed out. I was disappointed that Katie James barely made an appearance until near the end, though I did enjoy Baldacci's wink at the Reacher comparisons many have made with Shaw. I could have done without Reggie. I'm sure she'll be back, if only to annoy me.

This was a good, fast-paced thriller.

Awesome read.
