So. I just finished this book. I wish I could say that I loved it, that it is one of the best books that I read this year... but it wasn't.
I love Ringle's writing style, she comes up with some of the funniest lines. But there was something distinctly missing in "What Scotland Taught Me". I never felt that immediately connection with any of the characters, though Shannon was my favorite... but she was minor. I honestly disliked Eva from the beginning until the end. She seemed so selfish and well... bitchy. Though she learned a lesson while in Scotland I didn't feel like she truly changed.
I will still look forward to reading more of Ringle's works in the future.
