This is the 5th book in the Alex Rider series about a teenage spy. This time Alex not only spies for his own benefit, but also on the personal matter of finding out more about his family. This was one of the books in the series which I liked more than the others, firstly because most of the time I wouldn't really know what will happen or what Alex's next plan of action would be, but also because we actually get to find out more about Alex rather than just some random maniac who wants to destroy the world.

first of all who ends the book like that?? oh my god... I mean I know that Alex has to survive because well there's like 5 more books about him at least but still.. murdered and left bleeding is a bit harsh... even by cliffhanger standards. (Although really not as bad as the one with the clone)
I still can't get over the fact that Yassen is dead... He was honestly one of my favourite characters.
I still don't really like Mrs.Jones or Mr.Blunt really... And honestly I don't think her name is really Tulip either.. but on the other hand who knows?
But basically I did like the story, especially the locations for this book. (I don't know why but it always feels cooler when the places mentioned are actually ones you've been to) The gadgets were also pretty cool, although I don't get how someone can not see that he had braces on... but yeah.. end of rant I guess.

This was amazing, full of surprises and classic alex rider action, an awsome instalment to the alex rider sereis! In this book you get to find out more about alex's parents and ths truth behind his family, and people he thought he knew.
