I received this book as a Christmas gift. 
“Talking as Fast as I Can” is a collection of personal essays written by Gilmore Girls star, Lauren Graham. This novel explores her life before Gilmore Girls, she shares what it was like working on Gilmore Girls, and it touches upon what she has been up to in more recent years. 
This was such a fun and special read for me because Gilmore Girls is my favorite TV show. I really enjoy getting a behind the scenes look at the characters and just learning more about production of the show. 
Lauren shares pictures throughout the book that show her at different points in her life. This was a wonderful, personal touch that really made me feel even more connected to her and her story. 
One anecdote that has really stayed with me since finishing this book is that Lauren found out A Year in the Life was happening because of the news, not because she was asked back. They announced the revival before they asked the actors back! I just think this is such a funny scenario. 
I really enjoyed learning more about Lauren Graham, and I highly recommend this book to anyone who is interested in picking it up!
