I listened to the audiobook version of this and have to say how much I loved hearing the words directly from Lauren. My first thought was...."huh, she really is Lorelei!"
I loved hearing about how she got her start in acting and getting to know her, just a little better as a person. It was such a lighthearted and fun listen.

This is literally Lauren Graham word vomiting (I don't mean that in a bad way). I would listen to Lauren Graham read off her grocery list because she's that funny.
I find Lauren to be a sharp-witted and charismatic person so I could listen to her talk all day, but I kind of hoped for something more in-depth. A lot of the stuff she talks about in relation to being on TV you can probably find with a simple Google search. She does go more in-depth with her childhood though.
It ends somewhat bitter-sweet. Probably because the ending of Year in the Life is bittersweet. She ends the book thanking her BLUE COAT. It's somewhat repetitive in some places, but again... word vomit.

I got oddly emotional at the end of this book! Lauren Graham seems like such a genuine and positive person that when she wrote about being emotional I had to be emotional with her Haha. Also...was this a hint towards more Gilmore girl at the end? DON'T TEASE ME LAUREN. Overall this was a lovely and fast little memoir, exactly how I wanted it to be. If you are a fan of Lauren of Gilmore Girls you absolutely need to give this one a go.
