Miller's writing is gorgeous as always. I was intrigued by the dark horror elements in this short story, and Galatea as a POV character is so different from the more naive perspectives of Patroclus and Circe. It's a welcome change for such a twisted story.

I did like it and I enjoyed it being a quick read however it didn’t feel like it had the same Madeline Miller writing style, I kinda missed it in this book which was too bad. It has however made me more intrigued into reading more about Galatea

A horror story. That is usually not my genre, but like Miller’s other work, this story completely gripped me.
Though I know she wrote it before getting Long COVID, I couldn’t help but connect the rage and despair of Galatea begging the doctor to believe her with the millions having the same fight today.
