This book had a bit of a slow start but once it got going, boy was I hooked. I really loved the story mermaids/sirens have always been one of my favorite mythical creatures and this book really delivered. I would argue that this book isn't really enemies to lovers but more like a forbidden love. I really enjoyed the twists and turns of the book. Some of them suspected but some of them completely caught me off guard. Can't wait to get into the second book.

I appreciate that Saoirse is a flawed character, and that the author is fully aware of it and doesn't excuse her actions.
