In this book in the series, the mystery is introduced to us from the very start and continues to grow from there. But even through all that, the book was a much slower read for me and not nearly as captivaating. That is not to say that it was enjoyable, because it was, but there were some point were I had to push myself to keep reading because it felt like some details were really being harped upon without really furthering the narrative or the mystery. Knowing Adam's character more in this book, I really like him. I liked him in the first book too, but was largely indefferent to his character. I look forward to continuing with the series and reading the third book when it is released, whenever that may be. But for now, I wait.
