a warm-hearted mix of magical realism, modified-Korean folktales, trauma, and acceptance.
I only recently found out this book was supposed to be a children book (middlegrade). it doesn't change the fact that it was an incredible reading experience.

A very good middle school fantasy about a girl who starts to see the tiger from her grandmother's Korean folk tale come alive. In her attempt to deal with the tiger in real life, she finds more of the secrets that her grandmother's stories contained.

I wasn't a huge fan of the narrator, so it took a minute to get into.  The ending landed perfectly and I really liked it.
