This is my first Jo Bartlett novel, and I will certainly be reading more. I have to go looking for the first book in the Cornish Midwife series as well as eagerly await the next one! I loved it. Such a fantastic, light hearted romance. The characters and setting are both so approachable and I felt that I could be the midwives secretary! I was drawn in from the first to the last word.

Well-written. At some point, the anxiety of Anna was starting to grate on me. I was happy that the POV would occasionally shift to Ella and Jess. Otherwise, I don't think that I would've finished the book.
The Cornish midwife is a feel-good series, so I probably will pick up the rest of the series eventually.
