This book takes us deeper into the world of Sacoridia and its mysterious past with magic, evil, and the elf like beings called Eletians. Karigan is young and alot is being asked of her in this novel. She somehow has to hold the green riders together after the events of the first book have taken place. While the enemy was beat in book one, the first enemy they knew about, the seeds he sewed have started to unravel the country and now the king and his Vassals must figure out how to protect the country and its future from pure evil.
