So much going on in this one. I felt all the emotions. My feelings about this book are very similar to the others, except this one is really long and a little better, haha. Probably my favourite after Prisoner of Azkaban.

Some of Rowling's best writing in the series so far, spaced out by some of Rowling's worst writing in the series so far. The level of miscommunication between characters required to maintain a functioning plot is extensive. Harry's teenage angst lacks nuance and depth, while his romantic endeavours are simply corny. Meanwhile, the book has the highest stakes in the series thus far. Particular highlights include the development of Snape and the well written antagonist Umbridge.
