nothing will ever compare to pip & ravi for me. the random romance with asher felt forced and unnecessary.
i had carter figured out about 40% in to the book, so that was lame.
i hate to say that i disliked the female MC as much as i did but she was just straight up mean… Not a cute & funny mean, just mean.
also the amount of times Charlie said kiddo was all i needed to pin it all on him.
it was a good & fast read, but nothing extremely riveting for me, i didn’t feel my jaw drop once :/
i just love AGGGTM so much

def. not holly jackson's best work so far, i fear this is even her worst. it wasn't bad but definitely not amazing. the first half was so incredibly slow and boring, the second half was really good and gave me classic holly jackson vibes!! the last chapter however was too cringy, i fear. i'd give the first half 3 stars and the second half 4, resulting in the 3,5 stars that just feel right for this book.

I’m always skeptical going into ya mystery and thrillers as I usually guess the plot or end up disappointed, but Holly Jackson has proved to be a favorite of mine. The writing and story is never groundbreaking however it’s always very twisty and I never fully guess the plot until the end.
This book was no exception and had me fully hooked for the full 400+ pages.

What an amazing book. The plot kept twisting and turning, but not in a bad way. Bel annoyed me for the first half of the book, it felt like she was reading into everything way too much. Though she was unlikeable, I didn't mind it, it made a lot of sense for her character. I didn't care too much for her romance with Ash, but I liked his character and I did tear up when they said goodbye at the end. I like how Ramsey was actually respectful, not often are film makers. Well, he was a bit exploitative of family moments but in the end, he did the right thing. One thing I still don't really understand was why Charlie wanted Rachel dead, but I'll get that on a re-read I guess. Jeff's death honestly makes me sad. I feel really bad for him. Honestly, it kind of seems like the easy way out for the author instead of having to force him to leave, like Sherry. But after such a complex plot, Jackson deserves this little thing. Though Jeff chose to free his brother, who wouldn't, so I feel like out of all the characters except Bell and Rachel, he deserves the least pain. I really am hung up on his death, I really feel he didn't deserve it. I think partially because I have a sister myself and I love her so much, like I just imagine us in that situation and it'd kill me. Basically I feel a sense of guilt for Jeff's death for some reason. I seriously enjoyed this book though, it was fantastic.
The characters were well written and felt unique, the ending may be a bit unbelievable, but I still think it was good. I loved the plot of Rachel's disappearance, it was really well written.

A little long but I enjoyed the twists throughout and the final resolution. Really enjoyed the FMC Annabelle and found her to be well written, believable and relatable.
