The ending was super rushed and so many questions were left open. Also if Ash was really so in love why didnt he stay. Idk I felt like they weren't actually so in love with each other.

1.) idk maybe this authors writing is just a no for me (Good Girls Guide to Murder was mid IMO). I understand it’s YA but she really beats you over the head with things that should be subtle. The protagonist has abandonment issues, I get it, but do you have to have her think to herself about literally everything constantly, “they’d just leave, and at least her stolen items couldn’t leave her because in the end, everyone left” I really don’t have to be hit over the head with it
2.) this is on me, but this premise is literally a nightmare and way sadder than I thought it would be. Poor Rachel is so heartbroken to have missed her daughters life, half of her own life, her dads death, and wants to get back to the life she had, but everyone treats her like she’s a freak

A bit disappointed by the end. It felt a bit lazy and the characters' choices didn't really make sense/weren't realistic. But everything except the last 30 pages were amazing. Definitely liked it better than five survive (I'm not really a thriller fan and five survive was too much thriller and not enough murder mystery for my personal liking)

I feel like rolling my eyes so hard. I wanted to love this book, ugh! And up until three quarters in I was HOOKED. It was fun and exciting and over-the-top, but then the plot twists began and one weird choice after the other. I really don't get many of the choices made towards the end and it very much soured my reading experience.
I will still read Holly Jackson's newest book, but I do have to say, her Good Girl's Guide to Murder series was amazing. Everything else though so far? Meh.
