I throughly enjoyed this book! The author did an excellent job of weaving human longing and strong emotions into a page turning plot. I kept imaging several ways it could end and I was very satisfied with the author’s choice.

This book definitely took me a little while to get into but listening to the audiobook helped pull me in as I’m a fan of Julia Whelan’s work. About half way in Schwab got my hooked. The push and pull of Addie and Luc’s relationship was entertaining and it was interesting to watch Addie wrestle with her decision. I was very proud of how she handled the ending with helping Henry. Showing that her 300 years really did teach her how to deal with Luc. Will be a book I recommend to others but likely not a re-read.
