That was beautiful the writing was melodic and whimsical. The way she intertwines magic, history, time, the truths of life, and the world as we know it was beautiful.
Addie is such a complex character, and, I think, a deeply unreliable narrator. That makes me wonder who Luc is under all that. Henry was a dream but it wasnt love. Does Luc not know what love is, or is her arrogance making her blind.

I was hoping this one would make me cry because I saw a lot of people do so by the end pages. But, I found it a bit predictable and expected what was to come.

I wish it wasn’t so insta-love. Wished even more that Henry and Addie had remained friends or companions for longer before being completely enamored with each other.

I didn’t much like Henry, I found him a bit dull. I felt bad, but I didn’t want to read his story at all.
But I understand his pov was included because we were reading the story he wrote by the end.

I actually really liked Addie as a character. Her story did make me sad quite a few times and made me think of the value in growing relationships and how necessary they are for us all. To cherish all moments with your loved ones because it’s finite.

I wanted to be a Luc hater so bad, but by the end I was lowkey rooting for him. He was an absolute asshole at the beginning, don’t get me wrong, but in later years he was actually trying to give her a semblance of peace and comfort.
I hate when characters just let misunderstandings sit there and don’t try to explain themselves and what they actually meant with what they said. This is exactly what he did, and I found it so annoying…

I did notice the words “and yet” be used a lot throughout the book and found out it was mentioned “68” times!! And once I noticed, I could not help but roll my eyes any time I saw them!
